Ονειροπαγίδα · Oneiropagida
A beautiful green setting, friendly atmosphere and excellent food in generous portions. Frequent live-music nights and themed parties.
Τα Μαγούλιανα · Ta Magouliana
A dining landmark since 1933: homemade cooking, authentic Greek flavours and fresh local produce. Vegetarian & vegan options, dine-in, takeaway and delivery.
Hoki Poki
Amaliada's go-to for ice cream, with a wide range of flavours made from fresh local-farm milk, plus handmade waffles and sweets.
"Oi Lichoudies" bakery
Every morning Mrs Dina bakes fragrant koulourakia, moustokouloura, chocolate croissants and fresh bread. It's right below Sunny Apartment, opposite the old town hall.

Authentic Italian cuisine focused on pizza and pasta made with fresh ingredients. Great value and highly rated (4.8/5 on Tripadvisor).
Kreatopigi — charcoal grill
Fresh, handmade charcoal-grilled meats: gyros, souvlaki, burgers, kebab and sausages in generous portions. Fast service and delivery.
Taverna Stamiris
A traditional taverna in Agia Mavra, near Amaliada. Local meats and homemade recipes — known for its charcoal grills and "tourtes" (bread baked with tomato and feta).

Kourouta beach
A vast golden beach with shallow, crystal-clear water that earns a Blue Flag every year. Fully organized, with beach bars and superb sunsets looking out to Zakynthos.
Marathia beach
An endless golden beach with crystal waters where the pine forest reaches almost to the shore. A continuation of Kourouta, ideal for quiet and natural shade.
Savalia beach
Also known as Kasidiaris: turquoise, crystal-clear water and a long sandy shore. Shallow and calm sea — a favourite for families.
Palouki beach
Just 8 km from Amaliada, with golden sand, clear shallow water and a picturesque little fishing harbour. Organized and free sections, away from the crowds.
Skafidia beach
Wild, almost exotic beauty with warm, shallow water ideal for children. Organized facilities and water sports, near a picturesque harbour and the historic Monastery of the Dormition.

Ancient Olympia
The birthplace of the Olympic Games and a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the archaeological grounds, the ancient stadium, the Temple of Zeus and two museums. About 25–40 minutes by car — an easy day trip from the apartment.
Katakolo
A picturesque harbour and cruise-ship port, with seaside tavernas and the hands-on Museum of Ancient Greek Technology. A great stop before or after a cruise call, or as the gateway to Olympia.
Ancient Elis
The ancient city-state that organized the Olympic Games, with an archaeological site, ancient theatre and museum — quiet and atmospheric, very close to Amaliada.
Chlemoutsi Castle
One of Greece's most important Frankish castles (13th century), atop the Kyllini hill, with panoramic views over the Ionian Sea and Zakynthos.
